Cubic Corporation is a global company specializing in defense and transportation services.
Website copy: Cubic was revamping its intranet, and I worked as a consultant for the company on a four-month contract. During that time, I managed a schedule of deliverables for the communications team, created a new taxonomy for the website, provided best practices on writing for the web, and learned the company’s content management system so that I could add content to the intranet.
Newsletter: Cubic hired me to complete its 20-page internal newsletter on a tight deadline. The newsletter was half-finished, and the director of corporate communications needed someone to manage the project -- write the rest of the stories, edit the existing ones, and then work with the designer to handle copy overflow. I completed the project within the three-week window and slightly under budget. Since then, I have continued to help Cubic edit its quarterly newsletter.
